Weekly Transmission 002 !

Good day movers and shakers,

It’s been a busy first week here at DT Towers – we hope you’ve enjoyed the site so far! Thanks to all of you who gave us great feedback. We are constantly working on the site to iron out various creases, and rest assured it will get better and better as the weeks go on!

This week we’ve got an exclusive feature on 3 newly emerging venues in East London that will give space to over 1000 clubbers one they have all opened, an Obsessive feature on everyone’s favourite Frenchmen Daft Punk, New Talent features on the marvelous Alphabeat and Timo Garcia, plus ClubClass gave us their Dream Team XI ahead of their 11th Birthday tomorrow night (see what we did there?)

There’s also still time to enter our competitions to win loads of great prizes from Fabric, Modular, XL Recordings, Aim’s label ATIC Records, Southern Fried Records, DJDownload.com (over £300 worth of downloads up for grabs for one winner!), and a totally exclusive competition to win money-can’t-buy VIP tickets to Turnmills closing weekend.

In our news section this week, we learned that the Wu-Tang Clan’s real names are Robert, Gary, Russel, Clifford, Corey, Dennis, Lamont, Jason and Elgin, that Lost Vagueness are ditching Glastonbury because it’s too commercial, and that even DJs can get ill too.

Enjoying the site and email us at ben@datatransmission.co.uk or grahame@datatransmission.co.uk if you’ve got any feedback, news, or general rants that you want to get off your chest.

Kraak & Smaak
That's Our World EP

on : Jalapeno Records

Sublime downtempo grooves from the Dutch trio here, with the lead track an uber-mellow acid jazz style jam with an old skool beat and a vocal that falls between classic hip-hop and Parliament/Funkadelic style wailing.

K Beats Vol. 4

Can this man do no wrong? No, he can’t. Australian prog-tech fusionist Kriece is big with the likes of Zabiela, Cattaneo, and chiefly Data Transmission, and his prolific work rate is rarely tarnished by dud goods.
