Weekly Transmission 020!

Go DT, Go DT, GO!

Hey there cool kids, what’s good? We’ll tell you what’s good...

This week we played pinball with Ed Banger Records head honcho and ex-Daft Punk manager Pedro “Busy P” Winter, caught up with house music demi-god Luciano about his ongoing love affair with fabric, checked out the opening parties of Space and DC10 in Ibiza (or Eivissa if you’re on a local tip), and Tiga’s Turbo party in Paris.

We put Will Bailey (one half of fidgety bastards Twocker) in the New Talent hotseat, and dished out loads of news and reviews on Noisia, M.I.A., OceanLab, Erick Morillo, Matthew Dear’s Big Hands, We Love Space, Fatboy Slim’s new project, Märtini Brös, Kode9 & The Spaceape, The Chemical Brothers, Baobinga & ID, Sam Punk, Argy, Nick Curly & Reclick and loads more…

There’s tickets for Glade Festival, 2 days of Wireless Festival, Armada Ibiza, Dusted London, Zoo Thousand and Creamfields Central Europe all up for grabs in the competition section...

More international bits to come as we jet off to Sonar Festival in Barcelona next week...and keep your eyes peeled for something else coming from Busy P via us very very soon!

Ciao for now

DT xxx

A little gem here with If You Like – a wiggly thumpy tech house tune that pulls no punches. A simple groovy bass line with a hint of sub bass gets you off to a riotous start...

Hope & Sorrow

on : Lab Oratoire

Hope & Sorrow was originally released in Apri 2007, but it’s only know that it’s been given a full release in the UK. More’s the pity – as it’s a damn fine piece of "cinematic hip-hop" work.

Heavy, dark, intense. Noisia serve up an excellent collection of Future Tek D'n'B that's only surpassed by the mix's more electro moments.
