Weekly Transmission 22!

Hey y’all,

AT LAST! The DT Podcast has finally launched! We’ll be serving you up fresh exclusive mixes from some of the world’s biggest and best DJs from now on, covering a different genre every week – after all, variety is the spice of life as they say.

For our inaugural session, Busy P, head of Ed Banger Records and ex-manager to Daft Punk, serves up an eclectic brew of hip-hop, electro and discofied flavours – just the tonic to get your weekend going. We don’t want to spoil the surprises for who we’ve got coming up, but we’ve got some huge names as well as some of our favourite DJs and producers all preparing mixes for us. We’re like kids in a candy shop right now!

There’s plenty for your eyes as well as your ears, as this week we talked to legendary Master at Work Louie Vega about his new residency in Ibiza, DT-TV took in the best of Sonar Festival from the weekend just gone, our man in Paris checked out those prostitute-types Crookers, we found out about Rennie Pilgrem’s new text message phenomenon, spoke with French noisenik Don Rimini, and checked out Dutch dub/techno alchemist 2562 in our New Talent section. How’s that for cosmopolitan?

Loads of competitions, with final chances to win tickets for Creamfields Central Europe and for Wireless (Fatboy Slim & Jay-Z days), tickets to Glade Festival, We Love Space CDs + tickets, tickets for Zoo Thousand, for South West Four and for Get Loaded In The Park, and the entire DanceMidiSamples collection for all you budding producers!

Finally don’t forget to check out our constantly updated news section, and our reviews section, with bits on David Guetta, DMX, Jaytech, Stimming, The Chemical Brothers, Goldie, Jay Haze, Mauro Picotto, The Streets, Eddie Thoneick, Charlie G, Alex Kidd & Dark By Design and loads more….

Enjoy Glasto if you’re going, if not, kick back on the sofa and enjoy with a few tinnies!
DT xx

Deadlock has Jaytech written all over it. Four minutes of thumping kick, teasing percussion, spacious synths, and a superbly layered bassline leading up to an airy and melodic breakdown and a modest drop.
