Weekly Transmission 28!

***EXTRA EXTRA! Make sure you grab Carl Cox’s Podcast from last week!!!****

Hi hi hi,

How you doing you grubby little lot? We were at The Big Chill over the weekend and my word - it surpassed all our expectations! A perfect festival. Now recovered, we've been getting in a bit of trancey mode this week - with hotshot Frase serving up a groovy and euphoric podcast, Blank & Jones taking us round Cologne, and superb producer Marcus Schossow showcasing his hard hitting trance meets electro meets techno sound in our New Talent spot.

BUT as you know we're never ones to just stick to one genre - so this week we've also got reviews of the eclectic Glade and Secret Garden Party festivals, an interview with the head of London festie Field Day which returns for a second year this weekend, and an exclusive interview with techno's man of the moment Christian Smith (what a legend!) Throw into the mix reviews and news on Guy J, Jamie McHugh, Simian Mobile Disco, 2020 Soundsystem, Late Of The Pier, Cut Copy, Dirty South, Bomb The Bass, Frankmusik, Kraftwerk and loads more, and you've got a suitably eclectic ting a gwarnin!

Ooh and we've had a clearout of our office and found over 100 tip-top CDs from everyone from Boys Noize to Mauro Picotto - and we're giving them all away to one winner! We've also got two money can't really buy SEASON PASSES for the stupidly incredible Warehouse Project season in Manchester to give away - and once you've seen the line-ups you'll agree that this is one of the best prizes we've ever given away. All this plus passes to Parklife festival in Scotland, VIP entry for Gatecrasher's 15th Birthday, and passes for Get Loaded In The Park and South West Four Festivals.

So go on, switch off the Olympics, grab yourself a bacon butty (vegetarian option available) and get stuck into all this dancey goodness

DT xxx

Burnski saves the day with his ludicrously naughty, hard-grooving minimal techno swing. Yum.

Cut Copy - Hearts On Fire

Just an absolutely exquisite track from the Aussie 3-piece here, with laconic, emotive lyrics placed over the most euphoric, cool Daft Punk aping arms-to-the-sky poppy electro stomping.
