Weekly Transmission 30!

Afternoon,
3 days off! How will you eat yours? Plenty of options…

To kickstart your (hopefully) mammoth Bank Holiday weekend, we’ve got a double helping of Podcast magic to celebrate the Clapham Common Weekender. First off Carl Cox’s right-hand man Jon Rundell dishes out deep groovy techno in anticipation of his set at South West Four, while The Nextmen take over in an eclectic radio/mixtape style ahead of their set in our tent with Fingerlickin’ at Get Loaded In The Park! Happy days…

We got on a global tip this week, speaking to Miami man Cedric Gervais (no relation) about the other Space, got shown around Buenos Aires by prog master Hernan Cattaneo, talked Ibiza with Xtravaganza head honcho Alex Gold, talked to Mexican hotshot Betoko in New Talent, checked out Bugged Out!’s rocking tent at Field Day in London, and asked whether minimal techno and hard house are really so different. Eh? There’s also news and reviews of Skream, 50 Cent, Crazy P, Rui Da Silva, Owen & Rune RK, Lutzenkirchen, Madlib, Danny Howells, Freq Nasty and loads more…

Then to top it all off, we’re giving away loads of goodies from hot band Metronomy, over 100 CDs (the pile is growing by the day!), tickets to Gatecrasher’s 15th Birthday, to Parklife festival, and seasons passes to the entire run of The Warehouse Project in Manchester!

Enjoy the carnage people

A great epic beast from Swedish Sydenham-collaborator Rune RK and Brit newcomer Owen that came about after the latter sent the former some parts to a track he’d been working on.

On the basis of this cheesy collection of big room electro house, Richard Grey doesn’t have very good perceptions of the Ibizan giant.

Bombay Monkey - 130 Astronauts
Hope & Sorrow

on : Lab Oratoire

This none-quirkier album of downtempo fun is a sample-packed mish-mash of stoner hip-hop beats a la early Quantic and typical Nightmares Of Wax, big beat attitude and some truly eccentric bits of sampling.
