Weekly Transmission 96!

Unghhfffmmfrrrrrrrr....

We are hurting from our Xmas Party last night, so please bear with us on any typos and siht like taht....

Um where were we...oh yes, our podcast this week is probably not best listened to on a stonking hangover, as it's a full-on D&B and dubstep mix from Midlands trio Drumsound & Bassline Smith. Rowdy jump-up business with a few big rollers thrown in there - pure fire!

This week we also present our first of a two-part DT-TV trip oop North to check out Southern Fried at The Warehouse Project - with a feature on Wax On's 5th Birthday to follow. We also kicked off a new feature series - Do You Remember The First Time? - with dubstep ambassador N-Type recalling some seminal moments from his past. And almost getting his old boy out.

We're now selling tickets for events at Pacha and The Den & Centro in London, as well as Birmingham's Custard Factory (for their NYE event) and Ultra Vegas in Milton Keynes.

Finally, don't forgot to check out new flavours from A. Skillz, Pantha Du Prince, Riton & Primary 1 and Prok & Fitch in the Round-Up Podcast...

Now we're going to go and crawl back into our hole....oof...

DT xx

One of our favourite tracks of the year finally gets unleashed on the general public after months of hype. A tense, sinister, paranoid slice of grime-meets-dubstep.

Various Artists mixed by Sven Vath - In The Mix: The Sound Of The Tenth Season
on :Cocoon Recordings

Eschewing a simple selection of big summer anthems from the usual suspects, Papa Sven decided to largely look to the future with The Sound Of The 10th Season, mostly focusing on new and upcoming talents as a forward-thinking bookend to his party's first decade.

Basement Jaxx - Zephyr
on :XL Recordings

Basement Jaxx's recent 'Scars' album was mostly a solid affair, but felt too much like painting by pop-led numbers in places - meaning it fell short of being a real classic effort. 'Zephyr' attempts to readdress the balance.
